Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy celebrate as students collect results

Year 13 students at Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy are celebrating receiving their hard-earned A-level and vocational qualifications.  

The sixth form students at the academy scored particularly highly in ICT, art, business studies and sociology.

Friends and family have now come together to celebrate two years of hard work and dedication, which have resulted in strong results across the board. All students have secured places on their preferred university courses or in coveted employment, and are preparing to take their next steps with confidence and pride in what they have already achieved.  

Several students achieved exceptionally well this results day:  

  • Nyasha Etunyi achieved grade As in biology, business studies and maths. These amazing results have secured Nyasha a place at Manchester University to study economics.
  • Libby Painter achieved a grade A in sociology, a Distinction* in health and social care and applied biology. She has secured a place studying children’s nursing at the University of Staffordshire.
  • Mason Harrison achieved a grade B in sociology and a Distinction* in health and social care and applied psychology. This has secured him a place at Loughborough University to study psychology.
  • Harrison Leek achieved grade A in business studies and grade Bs in maths and physics. This allows him to go on to study accounting and finance at Aston University.
