Appeals
Should your child not be allocated a place for Year 7 admission, September 2026 entry, you may choose to appeal the decision. Appeal applications should be made in writing using the Year 7 Appeal Form on our website, paper copies can also be collected from our Main Reception.
Once an appeal has been lodged, appellants will receive 10 working days’ notice of their appeal hearing date (although appellants can waive their rights to this).
If you would like to submit additional evidence prior to the appeal hearing, you should ensure that this is submitted to the Appeals Clerk at least 7 working days prior to the hearing. Decision letters will be sent within 5 working days of the hearing.

Consultation on Admission Arrangements 2027-2028
A consultation was held, from 1st October 2025 to 12th November 2025, regarding proposed changes to the admission arrangements for Ormiston Shelfield Community Academy, for the academic year 2027-2028.

Mid-Year Admissions and Appeals
All Mid-Year admission applications must be submitted directly to the academy. The Mid-Year admission form below needs to be completed and returned to [email protected]
Mid-Year appeals are made outside the normal round of admissions. If you have completed a Mid-Year admission form and have been added to our waiting list, and wish to appeal your place on the waiting list, you should complete a Mid-Year appeal form (below) and return this to [email protected]
Your appeal will be heard within 30 school days of being lodged.
